PowerPhotonic's collimating and beam shaping optics have use with high-power laser cutting and welding systems.

PowerPhotonic (Dalgety Bay, Scotland)'s collimating and beam shaping optics, developed using the company's laser machining and polishing process, have use with high-power laser cutting and welding systems. Using higher efficiency optics preserves the life of a high-power laser by enabling it to run at lower power. It makes system integration easier, as less energy is dissipated as wasted heat. The ability to transform a single circular Gaussian-shaped laser beam into different intensity profiles and beam shapes using different beam-shaper optics adds enhanced utility to existing and new laser systems.
