Arlington, MA. Optics for Hire has been selected by Laser Components Instrument Group (Wilmington, MA) to assist in the development of a new generation of laser spectrometer. Optics for Hire provided optical and mechanical layout and design for a new system to be delivered by Laser Components Instrument Group to a major university in Europe.

Optics for Hire delivered a new system design for an upgrade to Laser Component's L5004-IR Spectrometer System. This upgrade gives them additional flexibility in providing customers with unique system designs to meet custom requirements. The L5004-IR is a complete dual beam mid-IR spectrometer system for use with mid-infrared laser sources such as lead-salt, quantum cascade, and quanta-series lasers

"We are very excited to be working with a technology leader like Laser Components," said Optics for Hire President John Ellis. "They have a long history in laser systems dating back to the introduction of the first commercial lead-salt diode lasers."

"We selected Optics for Hire because of the quality of their engineering team as well as the cost advantages they were able to provide," said Laser Components CEO/General Manager Gary Hayes. "The program was multi-phase and complex and we found them to be very professional and efficient."

The Optics for Hire R&D team is comprised of 18 physicists, optical engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, software engineers and CAD designers based in Ukraine. They have worked together on optical technologies of nearly every type and application including endoscopes, projection and display systems, therapeutic lasers, and optical disc drives.
